I woke up today feeling a little better, so I decided to give running a try. i dunno if it was the fact that it was 11:00 and already blazing hot, or the fact that I am still sick...probably combo of both, but I did not feel too hot...well, to be honest, I felt REALLY hot. Just sick still. ha. Anyway I tried hard to listen to my body and only went 3 miles. My mind really wanted to go further... but, twas not the best idea.
Do you guys find it hard to listen to your body when it is screaming to take it easy even when your mind wants to run forever? It's hard for me.

My famous (at least to myself) chocolate 'recovery' shake. Banana, almond milk, honey, cocoa powder, cinnamon, a little vanilla yogurt and LOTS of ice. Soooo good. |

i feel like we are in very similar places as fare as running goes. i am trying to figure out how to just LOVE running. for so long i felt like it was my identity (how i performed at it) and it is hard trying to get used to just loving doing it.

The cure of post-collegiate runners. Not having an identity and not being able to just LOVE running and plop around. I am barely getting use to the concept that it's okay not to run fast...weird. I wish we lived closer so we could go on runs and remind each other it's okay just to trot around :) I'm sure we will eventually come around (hopefully!)

P.S. I really wish we
